Chairman's Message:
Scalby Fair is a week long celebration starting on Sunday 13th June with the Tony Peers Variety Spectacular at Scalby Parish building up to Fair Day on Saturday 19th June. There will also be a Thanksgiving Service at St Laurence's Church on Sunday 20th.
The programme of events this year is, again, varied and packed with interest for all ages, and I am hoping you will support us by coming along to as many of the events as you can.
We are now in our 33rd year and are hoping for one of the best street fairs we have ever had this year.
In recognition of 2010 being World Cup year and to welcome our French visitors from Pornic, the theme we have decided upon this year is;
"1966 and all that!!"
So forget the credit crunch and celebrate World Cup Fever and French Culture during Scalby Fair.
We have so much to enjoy in Scalby and we think this theme will provide plenty of scope to all our stallholders, fancy dress participants and flower arrangers.
Please remember there are cash prizes available to the best dressed stalls so I am hoping you will all join in the fun, use your imagination and give us another good display this year.
It would be nice to see a few more children join in the fancy dress parade which takes place at 3pm on Fair Day - there is no age limit so come on kids have a go!
A warm invitation is extended to all, friends, locals and visitors alike.
Please check out our Website and Posters for full programme details.
I look forward to seeing you there.
Best wishes
