"1966 and all that!!"
Our flower festival has taken place as part of the fair events since 1977, originally, in celebration of the Queen's Silver Jubilee. Many changes have taken place in the village since then. One of which has been the twinning of Scalby with Pornic on the atlantic coast of france, and many visits have been exchanged since then. This association has gone from strength to strength.
With your imagination we would like to transport you to the year 1966 and experience the sights, sounds and scenery displayed in flowers.
Come and enjoy a special open evening to mark the start of our 2010 flower festival. The theme is “1966 and all that!!” and the flower arrangers will be there to talk through their display and give useful tips and advice. Refreshments and nibbles will also be served.
Scalby Methodist Church from 7.30 p.m.
